With your cost of food probably being your second highest overhead within your catering budget, it is vital you regularly review your purchasing strategy or purchase prices.
When was the last time you formally benchmarked your food costs, or even more importantly the last time you formally tendered them?
ACE Advice provides an increasingly popular comprehensive food procurement service to clients who manage their catering services ‘in house’. We manage over £4M of annual food purchases on behalf of our ‘in house’ clients.
We use our scale to create better value for our customers, than can be usually better than buying as an individual school. Our procurement specialist will liaise with suppliers to manage, control and support all aspects of the relationship between your kitchen teams and their supply chain.
Our Design Consultant brings over 15 years of design, supply and project management of catering equipment projects and a familiar understanding of the technical elements which contribute to a successful project.
Whether just a simple equipment replacement or a completely new kitchen, dining room or servery area, we will apply our considerable knowledge and expertise to ensure your investment achieves its desired goal.
We offer an exclusive service to meet your specific reequipments based around timescale, budget and value for money.
We can provide support ranging from design only, for you to then take to market, to creating and then formally tendering the works on your behalf with three of four design houses of your choice.
Please contact us should you wish to discuss any areas which may be outside our more common commissions which you feel might benefit from our support.

We have a 3-step approach:
Step 1 - We benchmark your current supplier’s ingredient costs against suppliers who have agreed ingredient contract prices within our procurement framework.
Step 2 – We analyse your menus and recipes to create a contract price list of ingredients for your school
Step 3 – We train your team to work with the new suppliers
If you haven’t formally reviewed your food purchasing for a number of years then the savings that we generate can be quite substantial. We often achieve savings in the region of between 10% and 15% of your annual food purchases.
